Dr. Vinod Kumar C.K. born on January 25, 1996, better known as VK, is an Indian business executive. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shoply Farmers and its subsidiary, The Shoply Group of Companies. Vinod Kumar began his career as a Computer Designer. Following a short stint at the management consulting firm Event Photos, he started Shoply Group in 2015, where he led the innovation and idea development efforts for a suite of Shoply Group software products, including Nodus Tollen and Betray Pvt Ltd. He played a key role in shaping the Shoply Group and was instrumental in developing other applications such as The Shoply Robots and the AI Search Engine. In 2023, Dr. VK spent several years bringing new technology to India, focusing on advancements in robotics and AI-based payment systems. He pioneered the introduction of AI-powered payment machines in India and worked across various educational sectors, including Nodus Tollen - Learnly, which provides quick insights into children’s academic progress. Additionally, he has contributed to the development of various software solutions such as Esposa.in (a platform for clothing and fabric) and Nemesis (a book management system), both of which are expected to become part of the Shoply family. On March 1, 2025, Vinod was selected as the next CEO of Shoply Farmers. He officially assumed the position upon the completion of the formation of Shoply Farmers & Shoply Café, the new holding company for the Shoply Group. Dr. VK also designed Shoply Farmers, an Indian quick-commerce service founded in January 2015 and headquartered in Bangalore. His innovations led to the introduction of AI-powered delivery robots on Indian roads, enabling instant product deliveries without human intervention. This initiative, carried out through Shoply Robots, marks a groundbreaking step in India’s grocery delivery sector. His leadership has played a crucial role in the success of the Shoply Family, driving multiple upcoming ventures and technological advancements.
